Hi! I’m Susanna Patterson, and I’m all about painting animals. I’ve been doing it forever, starting from those wild-colored animal doodles in preschool.

I graduated from Texas State University with a Fine Arts degree, and my painting journey took me from acrylics to oils, but watercolors truly stole my heart. I’ve got a knack for nailing details – fur, feathers, scales, you name it. And I’m all about vibrant, crazy colors. Animals aren’t just black and white, right? They deserve some purples, blues, and oranges to jazz things up.

Each portrait I create is hand-painted on top-quality watercolor paper. No copycats here – you get the original. Let’s work together to make your portrait perfect.

Allow me to introduce you to Gidget, my adorable pug nugget! At the age of two and a half, I had the privilege of rescuing her from the Pug Rescue of Austin. Now she is 12 and continues to defy her age, resembling a timeless puppy and often posing like a professional dog model. Of course, she has her own Instagram so feel free to follow her @g_puggy!
